Lenovo uses a sturdy plastic construction for the ThinkPad L15, which is installed to protect the laptop from bumps and splashing water. In terms of connectivity options, the manufacturer has taken its cue from the ThinkPad L15 Gen 1, offering the same basic configuration as in the predecessor with a docking port and a USB-C charging port. If users need to use Thunderbolt 4, however, they have to opt for the Intel model.
The screen of the ThinkPad L15 G2 consists of a 15.6-inch IPS panel and features a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. In addition to the display configuration given here, Lenovo also offers the L15 Gen 2 with a TN panel with 1366x768 pixels as well as with a touch-capable IPS panel with 1920x1080 pixels. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600U installed in ThinkPad L15 is a hexa-core processor that can handle up to 12 tasks simultaneously. Its clock rates are between 2.3 and 4.2 GHz, but the actual performance also depends on the cooling system and the TDP configuration.
